In January 2016, I needed 'to hurry' and remodel my first BEPEA restaurant at 3857 Cedar Springs. Although I had not operated it for some 30 years, I have owned the property for over 40 years, the building having been built in 1933, I did not want to do a full set of biddable construction documents. Too many unknowns. The JMCS Team and I made a deal where they and I both took risks of the unknowns. Not only did we finish ahead of schedule, opened on time, but we came in on budget once again.

Simply put, they understand the restaurant business and they work with you, guide you, educate you... all in a professional and transparent manner.

I am writing to recommend the excellent work of JM Construction Solutions. It has been good to work with a company that understands the construction process for a restaurant in the DFW area. They take special care to ensure that the finished building meets and exceeds both the city codes and respective owner's. We have had the pleasure of building several restaurants with the JMCS Team. Not only is JM Construction Solutions competitive and efficient, but they also give a level of personal care and attention rarely found with contractors. Laurie was always available to give more detail on their bids when needed, finding creative and cost effective ways to remedy the dreaded unforeseen issues that can be all too common, to actually showing up in person multiple times throughout the process to make sure the job wasn't just getting done, but getting done right. We finally called JM Construction Solutions. We had old wood windows that were leaking into the walls (with water coming through the ceiling below), masonry issues, drainage problems around a below-grade family room, and a bunch of other issues. Not only did everyone do great work, but they were hands down the nicest group of people I’ve ever had work in my house. They came in ahead of schedule and under budget. We were trying to fit the job in between the start of school and Thanksgiving while our kids were away at school, and JMCS finished with time to spare. I almost missed them when they were gone. If we had known what a pleasant and low-stress experience this was going to be, we would not have waited 17 years to do it! We love our house again, and we are so grateful for how easy Natalie and JMCS made it for us.  

JM Construction Solutions executes and has the flexibility to get creative to solve problems. I have used them for both of my stores and am very happy with the quality of work, project management, and ability to get the job done on time.

JM Construction's team was thorough, and their capabilities as a team are truly comprehensive. From the moment we began, they handled permitting all the way through to Certificate of Occupancy. Their subcontractors are obviously thoughtfully chosen, as all were capable and professional. The bid for the job was fair and did not exceed what was budgeted except for very small instances, which is to be expected on a job of this type. I would not hesitate to recommend JM Construction for anyone building out a restaurant or commercial retail space.

After living in my condominium for a number of years and making very few changes, I was completely in the dark about who I should use for renovations. There were a number of concerns I had about quality of the work, experience, price, etc. After checking around with friends, I continued to be referred to JMCS.

I was out of town while this project took place, and when I returned, I could not have been more pleased. When Ed and I decided to open our 5th Norma's Cafe in Plano earlier this year, we knew we had to really clean up and change the look of the old building to knock it out of the park. We couldn't be prouder of the way our project with JMCS turned out.

JM Construction Solutions built our bar/restaurant and did an outstanding job. The JMCS Team was very involved in our project when we needed him and the people he assigned to our project were solid. When small problems arose, they were handled effectively and with no hassle. Our project was completed on time and the only budget exceptions were items we requested that were not part of what we originally bidded. And, our project involved some high end finishes designed to create a unique ambiance in our establishment. The place looks great! All in all, a job well done. As owners/operators of CN Catering, The Hall on Dragon, Howell and Dragon, and The Room on Main, we have had many opportunities to work with general contractors to build out venues, offices, and kitchens. The projects have been everything from small cosmetic fixes to gutting a 20,000 sq. foot building and creating a new corporate headquarter and catering commissary.
